Scheduling Happens Directly With Your Therapist

Your first appointment (and all additional sessions) are scheduled directly with your therapist. This is intentional—because you and your therapist are the best people to find a convenient day and time that works for both of you.

Our therapists genuinely do their best to be flexible and accommodate client needs. At the same time, they also have standing appointments with other clients, which means scheduling can sometimes take a little collaboration to land on the right time. If your first option doesn’t work out, don’t stress—send a couple of alternatives and you’ll get there together.

Ways to Contact Your Therapist to Schedule Your First Appointment

There are a few ways to connect so you can schedule your first appointment quickly and smoothly.

Secure Message (Recommended) to Schedule Your First Appointment

You can reach your therapist directly using the Secure Message option inside your Client Portal. This is the fastest and most private way to coordinate scheduling—especially when you’re trying to align calendars.

Email Your Therapist

Email is another route. You should have your therapist’s email address in your benefits email.

If you have questions about your therapist’s email address (or can’t find it), email intakes@jlfamilyservices.com and we’ll help you.

Texting (Scheduling Only)

Once connected, your therapist may provide a work cell phone so that you can text them directly for scheduling matters only. Not all therapists use text scheduling, but when offered, it can be a quick way to confirm times or adjust appointments.
